RE: YB RECEIVES APPROVAL FOR A 5.5% RATE INCREASE

Effective, September 18, 2006

Dear Customer:

On August 5, 2006, a notice was sent out to our customers advising that Young Brothers filed for a 5.5% rate increase with the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) under YB’s zone practice previously approved by the PUC. Today, YB received notice from the PUC that the rate increase can go into effect as requested. The 5.5% rate increase will take effect on September 18, 2006 and will apply to all commodities and charges in Young Brothers Local Freight Tariff 5-A.

This rate increase will help to partially offset significant increases in fuel, repair and maintenance, equipment leases and labor costs. Young Brothers remains committed to improving the level of service to its customers and will continue to improve operational efficiencies for the benefit of its customers.
