Terms & Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number and clicking “Enable SMS Updates”, you agree to receive text messages (SMS/MMS) from Calhono Freight Forwarders (“we”, “us”, “our”). These messages are:

  • Transactional only: status updates on shipments, delivery notifications, exception alerts, proof‑of‑delivery links, two‑factor authentication (OTP) codes and replies to your customer‑service inquiries.
  • Not marketing: we will not send promotional offers, coupons or advertisements unless you explicitly opt‑in to a separate marketing program.

Message Frequency & Timing

You can expect up to 6 messages per shipment (usually 3) and only during the hours of [local business hours, Mon – Fri 7 am‑5 pm PT]. Emergency alerts may be sent outside these windows.

Message & Data Rates

Standard carrier rates apply. We do not charge you for these messages; however, your mobile provider may bill you per message or per data usage.

Consent & Verification

After submitting your number, we will send a verification text (“Reply YES to confirm”). Your number becomes active only after you reply “YES”. This double‑opt‑in satisfies the TCPA/CTIA requirements.

Opt‑Out / Stop

You may stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP. You will receive a confirmation message and your number will be removed from our SMS list within 24 hours. To resume service, you must re‑opt‑in through the same web form.

Help / Support

Text HELP for assistance or to get more information about this service. We will respond with a brief help message and contact details.

Data Retention

We retain your mobile number only while you have an active shipment or account with us, plus up to **90 days** after the last transaction for audit/compliance purposes. After that period the number is deleted from our SMS system.

Legal Disclaimers

  • We are not liable for any delays or failures caused by carrier outages, network congestion, or incorrect numbers you provide.
  • This service complies with the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and applicable state privacy laws.
  • If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, additional rights are described in our SMS Privacy Policy.
